Fishing Lake of the Woods - Ontario Canada
Your trip commences when you arrive at our landing in Kendall Inlet. From their you will be escorted by boat into our lodge by one of our staff. While our competent staff and guides take of your luggage, you are welcome to visit our lodge for a cup of freshly brewed coffee obtain your fishing permit, then retreat to your cabin to prepare for your adventure of a lifetime. Being a private landing your trailer and vehicle is absolutely safe on our parking lot at our winter residence as someone is available all summer long.
While contemplating your days fishing adventure your guide/guides have already prepared your boat and other necessities to ensure you have a successful day on Lake of the Woods. Packing your shore lunch gear, gassing up the boat, obtaining your daily drink order and whatever else is necessary to ensure a successful days fishing.Upon finishing your breakfast your guides will be awaiting you at your docks or area agreed upon and you will be on your way.Our guides are all highly experienced and have their routine. By the time you set foot into their boat, they know pretty well where their day will begin. It could be close to the lodge, or it could be a short ride to where they believe the best fishing will be on that day. They have already checked the daily weather forecast and know what kind of day lies ahead.
At noon hour be prepared for the treat of a lifetime. Daily shore lunch. Your guide(s) will prepare for you a hot dinner of freshly caught fillets, golden brown fries, tin beans, and other shore lunch goodies only an experienced guide knows how to do. Sit back and relax. Dinner time will take at least one hour. "Please notify the kitchen staff or Tannis of any Special Diet requirements for lunches. Allergic to fish, please let us know.
We fish a vast area. Shoal Lake Narrows, The Labyrinth Bays, Shoal Lake, while some may also tend to head for other areas such as Kendall Inlet, Corkscrew Channel, Squaw Lake, Ogema Bay. Your guides will have made up their minds the night before which direction they will head in the morning. Although walleye fishing is closed below the Rapids there is still ample opportunity for you to spen d a great day targeting these bountiful fish. You could be fishing in Squaw Lake, Clearwater Bay or in the Fox Island area of LOTW.Smallmouth Bass however will no doubt be Shoal Lake Narrows, The Labyrinth Bays, Shoal Lake, Bag Bay,Carl Bay, Clytie Bay; all within minutes of camp.Muskie Fishing in our area is fantastic. You do not have to travel all that far to be into excellent muskies. In some cases the islands right in front of our camp will offer up a nice size muskie. Many outdoor editors fish Ash Rapids Waters. The Waters in our area are noted for big size muskie with catches every season in the 35lb bracket. We practice Catch and Release.
